Young pacer

hi peoples of pace.I am only 11, and i have had my PM for 6 years. I got complete heart block from my mom b-cause she has lupus. If anyone else has the same stuff and is near my age, then let's chat!!!

im 17 nd have had my pacemaker for 3 years for complete heart block although they do not know y i developed it. im not 11 but hey if ya wanna chat netime just sent me a pm :)

I'm 36 so I'm not a kid anymore but I was also born with a complete heart block. They discovered that my mom had Lupus when I was 10 but it wasn't until I was around 20 that they connected my heart block to her Lupus. (I just got my pm 2 years ado)

Hi .....I am old 51 to be exact. But I wanted to tell you
I had my pacemaker when I was 8. Yep, 43 years ago.
I have led a completely normal life. Married and had
4 children. Unfortunately, my granddaughter who is 4 has just be diagnosed with a condition like mine.
However, doc's are not sure that it came from me.
Look, you have a ball and enjoy your life. I have and still am. Remember, life is there to be lived and enjoy it!!!

Hey! My dname is Morgan and I am 15 and I have Cardiomyopothy and Bradycardia, I have had four implanted devices ever since I was 11 days old! The doctor's told my mom whenever I was born that the reason I had these conditions was that she had Lupus like your mother. She didn't know that she had Lupus before she was pregnant with me. She found out during the time that she was pregnant. So I kinda know what your going through. If you ever need to talk or have any questions at all just send me a message. =]

My son Jake just turned 12 and got his pacer when he was 5. I have Lupus and Sjogren's syndrome. I know he would like to chat with someone who knows what he is going through.

Hi CarCar,

My son has had his pacemaker since he was 4 hours old. He'll be getting his 5th pacemaker on April 22. He has not let it affect his life, he plays guitar in several bands, is married and is hoping to start a family this year. Just remember that you can do anything you put your mind to.

Hi there. I am a mom of a 6 year old little boy with heart block from me having lupus. he got his first pacemaker at age 2. and he just got his 2nd one may 07. He is doing great. you would never know it. at least he doesnt say much. he plays soccer and baseball. Is there anything that bothers you about your pacemaker ?
