Pookie's Stress Test

Hi Everyone.

Well, I had my stress test this past Thursday and lasted an entire 7 minutes and 29 seconds....then passed out. :)

Now just waiting for the Holter Monitor on Nov 2 where the EP is gonna switch me from bipolar to unipolar for 24 hrs.

Spent all last weekend in the ER because of being severely dehydrated after Endo & Colonoscopy which I had on September 29...missed out on our Thanksgiving dinner, then fell down the stairs at home because i was still so weak & there was NO way I was going back to the ER.!!!!!!!!!! I hurt my back and left arm but I will survive.

My life is sometimes stranger than fiction, but I will continue on with everyone's support and my endless supply of hope.

Oh....during the ER visit....NOW (after 2 yrs) they are finally beginning to believe me that my stomach issues just may be my gall bladder so I have a few tests for that down the road too!

I'm going to write a book some day, but I really need a catchy title...any suggestions????????

Pookie

I hope they get everything figured out for you. Compared to my last stress test you ran a marathon. I went down in flames the last time I had one of those tests. Fortunately they were able to figure out what was wrong. I'd probably do fine if I took another one.
You should call your book " To He$%# and Back" by Pookie.
Good Luck,

AF after colonoscopy

Hi Pookie,
Sounds like you've been having a rough time. Hope it all is getting bettetr for you.
Reminded me of a hospital visit over Christmas I had; Severely dehydrated after colonoscopy, vomited and then into a bad bout of AF, tachycardia etc. Spent Xmas in hospital... not much fun.
My cardio has told me to never allow myself to dehydrate...drink, drink, drink.. ( non alcoholic of course :-) Not sure how you could avoid it with a colonoscopy etc...Next time I'll ask for an IV line with fluids.
Good luck, will be thinking of you.

Hi K (alias POOKIE), Remember I said it was not a good idea to have that stress test with LVNC. Docs can, and sometimes do, more harm than good. Sometimes we have to be wise to the events and realise when the docs have done all they can do, and any more "doctoring" will only make matters worse. I must say though after all they have done to you over the years most people would not have survived. You are a tough old boot to be sure. Keep right on till the end of the road and the Canadian health service will be creaking at the seams !!! Your old faithful friend Peter

Oscopies

by ElectricFrank - 2009-10-18 12:10:03

Hey Pookie those "oscopies" are supposed to be just routine procedures. (at least that is what the doc tells me ). How could they have caused you so much trouble? G(:.

Check the doctors parking garage

Sounds like the docs are passing your name around. The cardio guys have paid for their new cars and are giving the gastro folks a shot at you.

When will the GOOD days out number the BAD?
You are definitely in need of some relief and good results and a good meal to replace that missed thanksgiving. Tell me, do you celebrate Thanksgving In Halifax with Lobster or turkey?!

I don't know what it is about staires but since my implant, I have fallen down our staires 3 times and with the blood thinners, I end up black & blue all over.

Hopefully the overnight Holter monitor brings some new answers. I will be thinking of you.
