Your thoughts & prayers ~ please?

Hi everyone.

Tomorrow I am having surgery and I am scared.

I am not scared about being put to sleep; as I love that part.

I am scared that something will go wrong.

My history with my 5 pacemaker surgeries wasn't the best. I always fell into "the less than 1% category" for the risks!!!

I had several complications after each & every surgery. So, I guess it's only natural for me to be scared, eh????

My surgery is not heart related...let's just say it has to do with my intestines and that I won't be able to sit for awhile. LOL.

I might be missing for a few days, but will be back as soon as I can.

There are no adjectives to describe how great I feel that soooooooo many members have wished me good luck.

Between this front page, my private messages, and my regular email...I think my computer might crash :)

All our prayers and thoughts will be with you for the next few weeks in your surgery and recovery. Ouch, that surgery does not sound like a "fun" time.

You are so helpful and so funny when it comes to "uplifting" other PM members. We will miss you while you are "on the road" to recovery. While you are recovering, I am sure you will come up with some "funnies" for us.

I can't stand surgeries either but why cross the bridge if you don't have to yet. There will be time enough after to worry so for the meantime, make a plan.
Plan to talk to the surgeons about doing their best and take really good care of you all the way through this "procedure". Today do the things that make you happy, find some jokes to read, talk to good friends (not about your surgery), go to a good movie, eat well balanced meals today, get to bed early and maybe go buy something new to wear to the hospital in the morning. Whatever it takes, pass the time in YOUR terms WITHOUT worrying about tomorrow.
You will do just fine and, besides, you have all the rest of the pacer group here thinking, praying, and looking after you. Let the rest of us do the worrying for now. So do your best at ignoring this "experience" for now and deal with the rest later.

today. I just saw this post this morning. You wont see this till your done but I will kneel and say some prayers for you in a bit, you will be fine and sitting on a donut for comfort while posting on puter within a few days. lol.
