Oh Oh ???? (totally not heart related)

I didn't sleep at all (not a minute last night) because of severe pain in my throat. it almost feels like I might have an infection. my neck surgery was this past Thursday, so a week tomorrow.

lloyd just walked in from work, took one look at my neck and is demanding that I go to the walk in clinic...so he's gone up there right now to put my name in (then they give you a time to come back) as he says my neck is more swollen than it's ever been.

I don't feel "right" but was/am trying to be more optomistic and calm and didn't/don't wanna be over dramatic...however, I feel in my gut that there is something wrong. You know when you can just feel something is just not right....right????

I did make an appt to see my family doctor for tomorrow concerning this, but Lloyd is insisting that I be seen today.....actually he's scaring me cuz he is usually more of the wait and see approach type of guy.

My guess is an infection, or perhaps not proper drainage as the intern took the drain out early morning the day after my surgery and in my opinion it seemed to be a bit too early to take it out.

I just really don't wanna end up back in hospital or sent to the ER, so hopefully walk in clinic doc will know what to do.

Never a dull moment :) lol

Hi Pookie,

It is best to be safe so I would not hesitate to go. Boy, what next? I can't even imagine all the things you have been through. My thoughts are with you. Best of luck!!

So sorry to hear you had another surgery and things aren't going so well. Also, I forgot to tell you that my cardiologist told me to take Magnesium and Calcium for the body twitches I have been having. Magnesium is for the nerves and muscles. I am not having them as much since taking the Magnesium. Was already taking Calcium. Perhaps you could try this too. Keep your chin up and remember only sunny days from here on out.
