Oh...One more thing..

since they turned my sleep mode OFF in January - I went from 66% (using the pacemaker) to 83% - all upper lead. still less than 1% in ventricle.

I am now paced at 60 all day/all night. High rate is 140.

Guess having the sleep mode ON for nearly 5 yrs made a bit of a difference???

Affect on sleep

How is it affecting your sleep? The way I sleep I think my HR could be 100 all night and wouldn't make any difference. I might just hit the floor running in the morning though. LOL

Sleep mode

Sleep mode is an option where the pacemaker drops the minimum heart rate to a lower value like 50-55 bpm at a predetermined bed time. It is usually used for someone that needs a higher rate during waking hours, but has trouble sleeping at the higher rate.

One more little goodie they put in the pacers.

sleep mode

I just had my sleep mode turned on. My day mode is set at 60. Though whenever I check my pulse or the dr office takes it it is usually 62. I show pacing at 87% of the time. It often feels like it's pushing me. With sleep mode at 50 when I take my heart rate it's often 58 - which means I am not pacing. I'm sure my 87% will show it has dropped considerably for the reason you mentioned above. Just under 60 is my natural heat rate. If it does try to go below 50 then the pacemaker will kick in. So far it feels a bit more relaxing to me. I don't feel the constant "push" to keep me over the 60 setting.
