Sleep settings help...

So far my recovery has gone well. I am still more sore then I expected but it is getting better. I have my follow-up appointment tomorrow with my EP and had a few questions. I have not been able to lay down and go to sleep since I got my PM. I have searched and read all of the posts about this problem with others so I was wondering what exactly is the feature called that I should talk to my EP about? Also, pre-PM I was running in the mid 20's at night. What range should the doc put me at for sleep? I also have felt what feels like my heat racing and fluttering a few times. I am hoping it is just me being sensitive to it because its new, but do still intend to ask my EP about it. I am hoping the doctor will let me return to work, but at the same time I am worried about returning too soon. I am also concerned about the sleep issues. I am worried about returning to work with the way I am unable to sleep.

sleep mode

Hi BriBoy01,

you will be a little sore for awhile...hang tight.

the feature is sleep mode and mine is set to 45 beats per minute from midnight to 6am then it goes back to being set at 60 for the rest of the day.

can't advise you on the heart racing or fluttering as I haven't experienced that...ask your doctor though.

and don't push yourself too hard to get back to work, take it easy.

and you need restorative sleep to be able to work efficiently....

just ask lots of questions to the docs!

Hope you get your answers.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
