Left Shoulder pain and Pacemaker pain

I have had pain in my left shoulder and pain where the pacemaker is and I am wondering if I could have a pinched nerve and if the pacemaker shifted at all. I went to see my EP and he couldn't find any electrical problems with the device or leads and no infection. He didn't seem to want to see if there was a pinched nerve or not. I'm going to see my Primary Care doctor to see if she could make me an appointment with a Neurologist to see if it is a pinched nerve or not. My question is if I have the pacemaker repositioned is there a way that they could position so that it couldn't move again? I really don't want to live with this pain and discomfort until its time for the pacemaker to be replaced. Are there any risks involved in moving the pacemaker under the muscle at all? I hope someone can help me.

Shoulder pain

I have suffered left shoulder pain since my implant in 04. I wish someone could do something for it. I get a tingling down my shoulder blade and then the pain starts. My GP falls back on the explanation that it is arthritis. I don't think it is but continue to weather the pain which really gets me down at times. I have now developed a twitch or tremor in my left upper arm. I think something is sitting on a nerve. It is always worse in the winter and cold air can start it off. Let me know how you go please. Sincere regards Billie

shoulder pain - frozen shoulder

It is not uncommon to develop what is called frozen shoulder from not being able to raise your arm above shoulder height. It may also be associated with the development of arthritis too though it can be reversed if you get diagnosed soon enough and referred to a physical therapist.

My EP was like yours told me that the only thing she dealt with was the electrical stuff of my heart. My GP had no idea what was going on but had the sense and sent me to a physical therapist. The pt was the one to eventually diagnose me and though not capable of making a legal diagnosis sent me back to my GP with his suspicions. I eventually changed all my doctors because I did not feel I was being dealt with right but not before my shoulder was permanently injured and my right shoulder is now damaged because of having to compensate for my left.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
