Cops with pacemakers still working?

Hi, I'm having a pacemaker installed next week, I see a lot of firefighters with pacemakers. Are there any cops in the club with pacemakers? I'm curious if you are still working Hoping so....

I have been cleared by my doctor to continue working, and my boss says he is not going to push for my retirement. But it is up to Risk management.
I am 49, an investigator, I don't have to mix it up very often, but I have to be able to.
Doctor says he has installed this pacemaker in a division 1 basketball player and he was fine.

sounds good and you could also get your doctor to write a letter to say you are fine. this never hurts. the reason it never hurts is they don't like arguing with the medical establishment. the risk management or human resources people. i was a physchiatric nurse and retired at 61 after many years of service. i worked with many police officers over the years and have a lot of respect for the profession. you sure need a sense of humour. good luck in your continuing career. jess aka maureen

there a a few young cops still working. on the right hand side there is a way of typing in cops and i don't know how to do it but perhaps someone else will respond to this to help you. or maybe it is under forums. i know if you write to blake under contact he could tell you. i hope you can find it. good luck to you and god bless you. you are special. jess
