Side effects

I am taking propofonone 3 times a day and want to know if anyone is having unusual side effects. Also five months prior to my condition (had icd implanted 6-19-08) I found that I can't smell or taste most things. Fruits and vegetables I can taste because of the strong flavor, I can also taste sweets, sour and salt. I am only 52 years old. Any suggestion other than a ENT?

Same drug...

Hi Dave,
Am also on propafenone but 1 tab/4 times a day for more than 3 years now; I've an ICD since 2004; Any antiarrhythmic drug will have its fair share of side effects for different individual. For me, propafenone causes constipation; Initially when first started had fatigue and low pulse and blood pressure, but gradually as my body got used to it I reckoned these side effects disappeared. Only thing that now remains is occasionally constipation and dizziness. Hope your side effects will resolve soon otherwise please consult your doctor if you can't really tolerate it. There are lots of antiarrhythmic agents around to accommodate us if need be to manage our problems.
