my long lost twin!

I spent the better part of the last two days with Loopy Lou and her family. Lucky me!!!!! She'll have to post the picture of us together, I managed not to get one. :o( Her family is so lovely!! Her husband is a riot and her kids are so sweet and polite.

And Loopy, well, she's my twin! We compared scars and pm lumps. We are both loud and silly and laugh all the time. We discovered we have the same music on our ipods and like the same cocktails. We both love big goofy dogs, preferably from a rescue and we spoil them rotten. We both love to read. I read american authors who write books that take place in England, she reads English authors who write books that take place in the US. We have the same philosophy for raising our kids and the same rules for them. (I have a hilarious picture of them but will wait til I hear from L to make sure she's ok posting it) We talked and talked and talked! Literally all day long and well into the night.

Our families meshed just like everyone has been friends for years. Our kids stared at each other for a few minutes, then took off playing together. Our husbands started talking about their love of gadgets and cars. They can both quote lines from the same movies, everything from James Bond to Monty Python.

We all had fun making fun of how the other pronounces words and trying to figure out when we have different words for the same thing. Cookies are biscuits and biscuits are scones, broiling is grilling and grilling is barbequing. If you say the american vee-hi-kle instead of slurring it into one long syllable veee-ickle, she'll giggle for ten minutes.

I sure hope we get to meet again! I'm so glad our pacemakers brought us together and we were able to have this time together.

So glad that ya'll had a great time. Santa didn't bring me that helicopter needed for me to skoot on over there. It would've been so great to meet you both at the same time. I know it was a once in a lifetime moment. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there, but everything happens for a reason. Who knows how it would've turned out if I were there. You might not of had the 1 on 1 time required to realize how similar ya'll are.
Now that ya'll know each other well, I'll tag along next time. 3's a crowd.

I think I would have a hard time not calling her "Loopy". It's funny how you get used to calling people their screen names. Right Cabg Patch?

So good to hear of the fantastic time. So precious!

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
