Drop in Blood Pressure

I had an imaging stress test today. My Dr ordered it after he interrogated my pacer. I was complaining about having a racing heart rate. The odd thing was although I could feel my heart race, my pulse was at 60bpm. He said I was having PVC's and wanted me to take the stress test. I have a bad knee so the Dr said he would give me a chemical I.V.to increase my heart rate and I would only need to do 4 min on the treadmill. As soon as my heart rate increased my blood pressure decreased. I almost passed out. The nurse said the only thing that kept me from hitting the floor was my pacer. I notice my blood pressure drops when I exert myself lately. I never had this problem before. I haven't heard from my Cardiologist yet. Has anyone else had this problem? My pacer was installed for SSS. I took a stress test 3 mos before my pacer and had no problems. The good thing about this was that it was documented. At least the Dr will have something to look at.

Since I received my PM..april07..for SSS...I have had several Tress tests. My BP drops everytime the incline is increased, I last about 4-5 minutes and then feel like I will pass out. I am having another tress test on Dec. 12, my card. wants one more test and then he will make an adjustment to the PM. My BP meds. have been decreased to see if that helps. Be fore my PM any tress tests that I had were completed with no feelings of passing out. I feel that this problem is a result of the PM.
I do need the PM as it has made my daily life so much better. Let's hope that our doctors will fix these problems we are having. Good Luck and let us know what the outcome is.

I had my third pacemaker implanted in 12/07. This is a St. Jude's model also. The exact same things are happening to me. I had a chemical stress test on Monday of this week along with a nuclear study.
I haven't heard from my cardiologist yet either. I will let you know how I make out. Please keep us posted on your results.
Take care,

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
