Hello again, on your advice I have decided to name my pm and claim it as my helper, his name is Puff,the Magic dragon, I always liked that song and pm,get it? lol I found a medic alert in purple,with a small dragon on it with all my info on the back. so I"m having a bit of fun with it,thinking of it as my own magic dragon ,instead of a "device" helps I think. Whats your opinion? too "childish" stupid,or just fun? ibehurtin

Personally, I don't think it matters what anyone else thinks about how you have chosen to cope with your "lil friend". You have done what you needed to for youself and that is the most important thing! Alot of people choose to name their devices to make them feel more familiar and less like the "them and us" or "me and it" thinking which tends to be seperational. I think it's very cute the way you used the initials to find your name. And you know, when you generate happy feelings you heal better.

My "opinion"? ...fun and healthy!

Ha, how weird. When i had mine fitted, My Mum decided to call mine libby - short for liberty, meaning freedom! (Dont laugh lol I was 14.) Before i had that my mum used to cal me Tilly Ticker as when i was in hospital on the heart ward, their was pics everywhere, lol, Tommy Ticker for boys and Tilly Tickers for girls lol - again, i was 14!

And Joy you were right. Little things like that help you to feel better about it.
