I was wondering, in case I ever go to Japan, can one ride a Mag-Lev train with a PM? Those trains use lot of electro magnets for power.
Another one: can one visit hydro dam sites like the famous Hoover Dam , with a PM?

the Hoover Dam

I emailed the people at Hoover Dam and they strongly urge people with pacemakers not to enter the Dam. Also do not to go on their tours. Going across/over it is fine.
I haven't contacted the people in Japan, but I think if I were planning a trip, I would certainly take time to ask.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!

The German Transrapid maglev trains have a very low compatment magnetic field and do not affect pacemakers. However it is best to ask the train company in Japan if travelling on a maglev train. Cheers Peter
