Interference warnings

Radiation from cell towers, digital cordless phones (the base unit emits 24/7 whether or not on a call) and WiFi routers can all interfere with pacemakers.

Not only this but the radiation can cause heart problems in the first place.
It damages DNA (REFLEX 2004) and can cause auto immune diseases and cancers in a short period of time (5 to 10 years depending on exposure)

I tried to get to your site but was unsuccessful.

The part that I was able to find, says it's for people who are hypersensitive to magnetic fields.

I'm glad that you've brought this to our attention, as I have all wireless phones and a wireless router in my home.

What I've been told, at the hospital, is that the modern pacemakers and ICDs are much safer, d/t having titanium shielding.

Wish I'd been able to access your info.

I've posted both the American and Canadian Gov. suggestions for patients with PMs and ICDs.

Thanks again.

Wireless worry

by markjbaker - 2008-10-01 05:10:38

There is a bit of a public panic going on here in the UK over cellphone masts and Wi-Fi. There are TV programs featuring people who are "electrosensitive" complaining of headaches, illness and even cancer caused by radio signals.

What is common in websites talking about these issues is that they sell various devices claiming to absorb harmful radiation. These devices are totally bogus.

A University study in the UK had a number of people who claim to be electrosesnsitive and put them in a chamber. Radio signals were fed into the chamber to see if there were any physilogical igns when the signal was turned on. The reasearchers could find no cause of physiological issus when the signals were on and the subjects were unable to tell when the signal was switched on or not, despite their claims that radio signals effected them immediatly in the homes.

What is clear is that many people are very worried about radio signals and they believe they are harmful. These fears can themselves cause headaches and illnesses. In some areas campaigners have been successful in getting antennas removed and people's health improves as a result. What is sad is that it is the removal of the worry that improves their health, not the removal of the radio waves.

There is some good information on this at badscience.net

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
