Training for Pacer Olympics...

Sooo..... how are the fitness regimes going?

Hmmm, well I have been dog-walking and running (ok, staggering) up and down the stairs to the loo, and emptying and stacking the dish-washer...... I am sure all of this will come in handy for the training...

Interested in hearing your training schedules!!

What exactly are you hoping to try out for? The longest lasix run?
Hope you find yourself A POT real soon.

We all had some training last night for the ADRENALINE SPRINT! The girls and I were watching tv when there was a big POP and glass landed on my head and D's homework. Someone shot our back window! The cops think it was kids with a BB gun shooting at the speed limit sign on the street behind us. Everyone is fine but I think it must have put dent in my battery life LOL

I don't like to run anymore because my knees are getting creaky. So instead walk at a 4mph pace. Most of my neighbors don't jog much faster than that. Currently only doing about 3 miles in the morning. But with 2 acres of landscaping to take of, I'm walking there a lot too. Not to forget the many arm curl reps with a cup of coffee or a can of coke zero. :)

That's what I say! I am determined that the stepper in my living room is not going to win! I found myself trying to walk a different path to get to the front door which is a much longer way through the house.... but I am working at getting the steps in! It is fun mostly until I nearly faint. I hope to be able to compete in the Pacer Olympics! My other goal is to visit the Smithsonian and not take the elevator to the doorway!
Happy walking, jogging, running, bendovers to empty the dishwasher, or typing a few words on the laptop. Carry on with what ever movement you can do.
Cheers!

Seriously

Wouldn't it be a sight to see an actual "Pacer / ICD Olympics"
That would be a hoot. I'm starting my training tomorrow for the hurdles, Lords knows I jump over them everyday anyways......might as well make them count for something.

What would our team colors be?
Silver? Would our awards be device shaped?

Just brainstorming the possibilities.
Like Campbell Soup- they're endless.

LOL!

OK, so...

my workout routine is coming along nicely! My 60 pound Staffordshire Terrier takes the opportunity to escape [ well bust through the gate] at least twice a week, leading me on a merry chase. Well merry for her. I figure trying to run through backyards in my robe and bare feet at 11:00 pm, trying to wave and smile at people who's motion detectors have alerted them to a prowler in their backyard, and hissing, "just wait till I get my hands on you" to the dog as she assumes the position and takes a big steaming dump with, I swear, a grin on her face, should count for training for the pacer olympics as intense! What do y'all think?

Never, ever drink coffee while perusing the messages if Patch has been around!!!! ROFL

And here I've been trying so hard to stay off the beta blockers. Dang, didn't know it would disqualify me.

Good to know

So far, I meet all of the Olympic guidelines. LOL!

Dust Bunny Hurdles

by dairyprincess - 2009-02-22 12:02:14

My training has increased as I have to jump hurdles over the dust bunnies growing in my house since Christmas....so far I'm winning....they haven't grown to the size that I can't step over them!!!

The butt dent in my sofa is getting to be just right for me!!! Ahhhh....the joys of waiting for my next surgery!!!

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
