Sleep Apnea

Has anyone with a PM ever been diagnoses with sleep apnea. I was diagnoses about 6yrs ago. When diagnoses the doctors said heart problems were associated with it. Since I didn't have any problems or symptoms of heart disease, I'm wondering if their connected now. The heart doc said studies are not completed to determine. A case of the chicken or the egg.

Hello. I have had a pm for one month now. I also have had many of typical symptoms of sleep apnea. I will go to a test during the following two weeks. I will tell later what the result of the test is. I beleave that they can be strongly connected.

Here's an interesting one for you all...

I got my PM because of blocked beats at a very low heart rate. In other words, while I'm sleeping.

BEFORE I got my PM, I would snore often and loudly.

AFTER I got my PM, my wife says I hardly snore at all, and when I do, it's not loud at all.

Iwas tested for Sleep Apnea a couple of times prior to my PM and it always came back negative.

But interesting about the snoring!!!

Hi,

I found out I had sleep apnea 6 mos prior to getting my Pm. I have been told there is a link between the two.
