PVC

Hi,
Seems like PVC/PAC's are the topic of the day!! In response to your question as to whether or not you will always have them...maybe yes, maybe no. How's that for skirting the issue?? All joking aside, I get them too and right after my PM was placed I seemed to get them a lot more frequently which I attributed to the heart muscle being irritated (my own idea). then they calmed down after a few months, but it seems I still get a few every day and some days worse than others. Watch your caffeine intake (makes them worse) and also anxiety can increase their frequency (along with a host of other things). I used to get them before my PM was placed and I still get them.....I don't like them either. I take a beta blocker that seems to keep them at bay (at least I'm not as aware of them) but some people on this site absolutely hate the side effects from b-blockers, fortunately for me, I tolerate them well. Good luck and I hope they calm down or go away for you. Carol

My story is the same as Carol's.
Had pre-PM, get 'em now - probably more often.
I take a low dose B-Blocker and that seems to help, but I am still aware of them.

They suck!! But I've seen people have to go through much worse, so I look on the bright side.

Im 16 mos out from my PM and still get them. Some days are really terrible and I end up in bed. Recently my general doc put me on Xanix for the really bad days when the beta blocker didnt cut it. The Xanix does seem to help for me. It allows me to get a quick nap and I usually feel better afterwards.

It has taken me a year to figure out that if I don't drink enough water, forget my vitamins ect I get them really bad. In my case, flax seed has helped soooo much. Also my vitamin D level was low so I've been on 50k once a week for that.

I think it's a balancing act and discovering what your triggers are. Stress is a big one for me as are the vitamins.
