Pacemaker Alarm Clock!

It is happening more nad more. I am not usre if I am just up more at 4:00 am, or what. But 4 out of 7 nights I am up at 4 in the morning. Sometimes I am asleep, and at around 4:10 my pacemaker goes off. When I am sleeping it wakes me up. I do feel my pacemaker durring the day most times it goes off. But this 4:10 am thing is just freaking me out. I got my pacer back in Feb of 05. So I am looking at 4 years. It is a Medtronics KDR901. Anyone else had this problem???

I used get a funny feeling each day at the same time, the hospital said it was the PM doing a daily self test, and they reset it to happen during the night. Might be something similar.

They adjusted mine!

Hi bigtex!
The EP ignored my complaints about feeling my pacemaker until at about 9months, I said I was becoming insomniac. Mine was waking me 12 or more times /nite. Their interrogations verified that it was pacing 20 or more x per night.
They were able to adjust a couple different things over the course of a couple visits. Now I only wake up from pacing maybe every week or 2.
They reduced the pacing to kick in at 50 instead of 60. That helped a little. the next time they made it pace mainly in the bottom of the heart, so I wouldn't feel it in my stomach and everywhere else so much. THat was the main improvement for me.
Depending on your condition, they may have to do something different. It's worth asking.

I can't find them either.

I did just find a section in the Medtronics KDR701 that refers to setting the Capture Test Frequency. If I remember right that setting had a number of predetermined settings rather than an exact time.
