Cold hands and feet

My hands since my surgery are like ice all the time, is it bad blood flow or medication or both? I cant ever get them warm unless I sit in front of my little electric heater. Such a bummer as I love to ice fish in the winter and now my hands and feet get cold really fast, when my feet get cold Im about done being outside. And walking is ussally ok but god when I have to walk thru any snow or slush I have to stop hundreds of times to rest, I know the cold weather has something to do with it to, I sure hope I dont have to give up something else I love to do. It must be a sight to see me sitting around the house with sweatshirts, long underwear and gloves on in the house. lol.
Oh yes I almost forgot sending my medical paper work to Cleveland Clinc for review for regeniration stem cell research group, talked to an RN for about an hour yesterday about it, wish me luck, not sure I will do it but we will see, remember cold feet. lmao.

I have always heard that cold hands me a warm heart. :) that must be true in your case too 29 years of marriage, that is just awesome. Anyway seriously.... Are you on Coumadin by chance? cold extremities in my experiences working in the field is a common complaint from those on coumadin. I can relate though because with my HF my feet are always like ice, drives my poor husband nuts cause I always have tons of blankets on at night and warm fuzzy socks!, thank goodness he loves me :). I know that some pts use to say that they could warm themselves up a bit by starting the morning with a warm soak, helped ease things a tad, by getting the blood flowing. I wish you the best with the cleveland clinic too, that place is HUGE.

My hands, feet, nose, ears......all stay cold. It's embarrasing to shake people's hands knowing that mine are like ice all the time.
I really would like to measure the temperature of my feet sometimes. Starts above my ankle and gets colder on down. It doesn't matter how many pairs of socks I've got on.....they stay cold.

UGH!

No coumadin, thank god

Patch I do the same thing with my rotty execpt he dont tolerate much, you think you have a brawl with your wifey, try it with a 130 lb rottwieler after youve stuck your ice cold feet under his belly. LOL. Yeah my ef is 24% I was pretty sure that is why, thought maybe someone had some ideas on how to beat the cold, especially angelie living in great north, I hope i recall right angelie, good gloves, socks, ect........the snoops bottles are getting to expensive to buy.
