New Microwave Oven

I am experiencing a little problem with the new microwave oven I just bought. After I unpacked the oven and placed it on the counter I took the time to read the directions, set the clock and placed a cup of water in the oven and turned it on. I was standing about 18 inches from microwave. My heart started pounding, flip flopping and generally scared me half to death. I backed away from the counter and it took me minute or two to recover. I later was cleaning up the kitchen and my husband came in and to check out the new microwave and turned in on. My heart started to have the same reaction again!
My question is has anyone had this happen before with a microwave oven. I think I will check it out tomorrow again and if I have the same problem I will return it. A.S.A.P. plus call the manufacturer.
Any thoughts other than to return the microwave?
Thank you for listening, Pacergirl

Hi Pacergirl,

Smart decision. Check that microwave out once more and if the same things happens return it to the seller. All we read is that modern microwaves will not affect our PM, so I have to believe there is a malfunction in this one. Could be that some shielding is missing and that is no more than a wild guess. But obviously, something is wrong and I don't think it is your PM.

Good luck

Thank you taking time this morning to reply. I am thinking it could be a faulty Microwave as well. I will return it this afternoon. I don't think I need to test it out again. Twice seems to be good for me.
Have a great day,
Susan

Hi Smitty, I haven't checked out the microwave this morning. I am a bit reluctant, however I will and if it proves to be faulty I will return it today.
Thank you for you thoughts, and taking time to reply. How are things down in Texas? ;-)
