I want to thank to Mike Angelie and jack who answeared so quickly.Maybe ,i had need to gave you several information about my heart problems.6 years ago i have undergone a MVR (mitral valve replacement and Cryo maze procedure).THE MAZE wasn't successful maybe because of my moderatly enlarged left atrium or surgeon's experience....A short story: beeing A.fib. highly symptomatic .I have been almost all this time in synus rhytm using drugs like Amiodacore RHYTMOL or Elektricalcardioversion...until now.the dual chambre PM WAS IMPLANTED in hospital when i almost passed out because the high BETAblocker dose (with my synus node problems togheter).For now i don't have problem with myEF -IS NORMAL but continue and progressive A.fib is a future frightening.....

I sense fear in your post. I have lived in rate controlled a-fib for over 3 years now. I went through the drugs you talked about and all the side effects that went with them. I have the bi-ventricular ICD . It can pace me 90% of the time so it appears I am in sinus. My EF is 30% so you are looking pretty good! Once the right meds are found you will have no problems at all being in a-fib. I have been where you are and it is very scary,,but very liveable.
