ECG readings

Frank would be right....ECG's do print out an interpretation...but that is only machine read...it must be interpreted by the doctor.....ECG's readings can be affected by impendence, poor connection, speed of the paper used(how the measurements are recorded) There are lots of variables..There can be significance to ST depression and T wave abnormality.....but patient history must be taken into consideration as well...ie. the medications they are on....preivous cardiac events for example....if you want to know what ST depression is there are many sites that can give you a general explanation but best to ask your doctor for specific.

All the best....

ECG Readings

It means "Doctor take notice. Here comes some more $$"

Seriously, the new ecg's have a built in computer that uses certain landmarks in the ecg to come up with a diagnosis. The doctors manual for them has a disclaimer that these only flag things to be looked at by a cardiologist, and aren't to be used as a final diagnosis for purposes of treatment.

The Baseline Wander in Lead V3 could actually be due to a poor connection at that electrode which could fool the computer into all the other statements.
