thermostat stuck?

Hello again, All. 3 months into ICD and all seems well. But I have a question. 11 years after heart attack and bypass and Toprol, Lisinopril and now Crestor, I seem to not be able to stop sweating even after light exertion. I am overweight but active and have been a heavy sweater in the past but this is getting rediculus. Any opinions???
Thanks, Clifford

Hey

I wondered if anyone answered you about the sweating question. I have a pacemaker and have the same problem. I can sweep the kitchen or wash dishes and boom, I am pouring sweat. Please keep me informed if anyone comes up with something.

Thanks
Anita

Have you had your thyroid checked lately. Sounds stupid, at least thats what i thought. Until I went into the hospital sweating like crazy and a HB of 185 per minute. I would sweat doing dishes, putting away laundry, just walking around the house for a few minutes. It turns out that when they checked my PM everything was o.k. They did some bloodwork and my bloodcount for the thyroid was 3X as high as it should be. Turns out it was a hyperthyroid. Sweating, fast heart rate, shortness of breath, all symptoms of this. Just figured I would give you somethimg else to think about. It moght not be the heart at all.

I have the same problem. I do any slight task and I start sweating like crazy. I am 63 years old and can't believe it can be attributed to menopause. I have my pacemaker about two years now. Thought it was just me. I am going to the heart doctor Wednesday and will print your comments out and pass on to the nurse practitioner.
