Iam glad to have found this site!!

Iam so glad that I found mary cumming's blog . SHe is the member of this club and the one who told me about this club. Thank you for your responses. I know,i may sound naive at this point but I guess iam still in denial. If I had pain then may be it would have sunken in fast(not that I want to be in pain),but it's been so easy to ignore and even forget that I have any problem. In this month me and my husband completly mastered the technique of denial and ignoring the fact. Today's Dr's visit was a sought of a reminder of what's going on. I know what all you say is true ,as just recently Iam trying to understand this condition of mine. For now Iam going to take the medication my doctor prescribed(on my insisting) for couple of days and see if that helps(I could tell it'll not, by the look on my Dr's face, will try anyway.)then will decide the date for the the big day. Iam still hoping for a miracle. Believe me I'll not ignore it anymore. In these few days I'll decide. I don't even have my Medical records with me yet.I'll try to findout if all the underlying causes had been ruled out. If everything is done then....you know what. I love my kids and my hubby too. I don't want them to suffer 'cause of me in anyway.

But onething I have to applaud is to this club and the the members. Once I went to through the forums for the first time and read the posts I was reallly awed by he support of one to the another.'Compassion' is the great moral support one needs at times like theese and I found it here and I guess many did. Thank you for all those of you patiently take time to reach out to others.I'll keep you posted of what's happenning with me.Meanwhile i'll finish off the scarf I started 2days back.Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!any knitters with PM?????

Getting pm isnt really that big of a deal, I mean it is any surgery is, but its a cake walk compared to open heart. Dont ignore your symptoms, I did I passed them off as something else and bang find out the things i was ignoring or passing off as something else where heart attacks, now have half my heart damaged, had bypass, and had to have a pm/defib put in. so dooooonnntttt ignore your body. I used to knit believe that, i really like to do it but it has been awhile my wifes grandma taught me how to. Maybe i should pick it up again, knit some scarfs since it below 20 degees here already, but i guess its the middle of November isnt it. Listen to your doctor, you need to trust him or her also. And your kids and husband love you also and want you to do whatever you have to so you stay with them.

Welcome! I turn dyslexic when I try to knit, I'm all thumbs! But I love to sew, does that count? :o)

What is your diagnosis? If you're not sure and your doctor is recommending a pm, it can't hurt to get a second opinion. It depends what's wrong with your heart, but many of us have conditions that medication can't help. It's really not that bad!!!! If you have any questions, don't be shy.

It sounds like you've been reading through the posts. Keep in mind that many people come here because they have a problem, so the number of issues you see here is blown out of proportion. For every person here with an issue, there are hundreds out there who are just fine!

Well said, CABG Patch! Every time I feel sorry for myself, I try to remember that if I'd been born the same year as my grandmother, I would be dead by now. These little chunks of titanium are miracles.

Pushpa, there are no medications that will speed up your heart and correct SSS. I know that's not what you want to hear! Your sinus node isn't generating enough beats. When it slows down too much, the pm will step in and make the beat.

You know you're wired when...

Your ICD has a better memory than you.
