On 31 Oct 2008 I turned into a witch! lol

Hi guys!

Two years pacing today.

My day today, two years on...........

Well, I'll start with last night.

Went to see a local Guns n Roses tribute band with my husband daughter and her boyfriend. Danced till 12 and I drove home as I wasnt drinking. Ears ringing a bit this morning! lol

Got up and made tea at 6 having forgotten that the clocks had gone back lol, (my turn at weekends!) put the washing on, put last night's dishes away and let the dogs out went back to bed with husband and 2 dogs! lol

Went for walk in the woods with the dogs then came back and fed neighbours cat. Son building a new kitchen so made sausage and bacon butties for him and his friends and drove them round with a flask of tea.

Came back and was visited by a friend from about 50 miles away on her way home from a party, I used to teach her when she was about 17, she was a gobby kid but we've always stayed friends, she's 38 now. We had a laugh.

Hmmm its about 10am now. Took friend to see sons house and daughters new houses, throwing stones at daughters windows to get her out of bed (they're still hung over from last night). She had no milk so fetched milk from the supermarket.

Came home and had lunch, then picked up daughter, moved about 20 boxes of shoes in 3 car journeys (she has an online shop).

Got home and cooked chicken and chips for all the lads, washed down with tea and cake (I didnt make that). Ohh forgot, did sons washing as his washing machine is now disconnected.

Just been giving out sweets to the trick n treaters and made them all join hands on my lawn and go round in a circle! lol

Left the washing up until tomorrow!

Just another busy day in the life of a wife and mother.

Now I'm sitting here watching TV and typing this and really realising that it's been 2 years. I'm still here, I feel fine. Of course I get the odd down day, the odd ache and pain, but I am 57 and probably most people of my age do.

Tonight I realise I am truly blessed. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the last 2 years.

Can we all join virtual hands tonight to give strength to Blake for his op tomorrow.

Happy Re-Birthday

by Edouard - 2010-10-31 07:10:34

5 years ago, my wife had heart valve repair surgery. Since then, every October 20, she wants me to take her out to dinner under the pretext that it's her Re-Birthday. This year, she actually got a sparkler on her dessert.
This year, after a syncope, I was fitted with "Pac-Man". Since May 25th, we are the "Two of Hearts". So I insist on equal rights.
Get your husband to take you out to dinner and have a Happy Re-Birthday. I'll do the same next May.
Regards from the other side of the Altlantic

I sometimes wonder why I bother!!

I come in here, I look for people who havnt received any replies to their posts and try to give one, even if it's just a word of encouragement. I pm people who seem down and I join in the spirit of the club.

But...............apart from Eduard not a single other person chose to wish me well. It's been a long hard slog to get to this frame of mind, there have been tears, depression and uncertainty.

What is up with you people????????
