Cell Phone

I've used a cell phone for years and never had any interference problems with my pacer. Being the inquisitive person that I am I have actually held it right over the pacer. The only problem with that is I can't talk on it!

The Blue Tooth headset is a good idea.

Yes there are some complications and interference issues with pacemakers. MY dr recommended that i keep my cell phone at least 6 inches away from my pacemaker , and to try to use it on my right side and not to put a cell phone in the breast pocket of my shirt. I have purchased a cell phone that is bluetooth capaple and I use my Headset everytime i am using my cell phone. I have noticed no interference issues or anything. It is actually much easier for me to use the headset because I am so use to using the cell on both sided that I tend to forget and try to put it on my left side. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

i used cell phones a lot....can't live w/o it somehow because it is needed in my work as media practitioner and in government agency where i work.....my doctor just told me to use cell opposite to my operation.am a dextro cardia so my heart is in the right side so when i answer call or send sms i make sure my cell s on my left side.... and last 12 years though is not good because my rate is already 40 before i go 2nd operation. well, that time am not expose to other hi-tech gadgets except cell and hand held radio....am still 34 by the way so not yet to obsolete for any hi-tech...(mean exposure)

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
