just got wired lol

I got my pacer on weds.
Im trying to relax and follow orders but i suddenly have energy for the first time in almost 10 years. I really want to get moving.lol
My concern is i keep feeling like im bleeding but there is nothing visible on bandage or on skin. And the deep burning is driving me nuts. I got sick from all pain meds they gave me so im only on extra strength tylenol. Any ideas how to relieve some of the burning?

I was also bursting with energy after feeling tired for so many years! Don't go crazy or anything, but as long as you don't push too hard and are careful to keep your arm below your shoulder, a little light exercise should be ok now. I started walking as soon as I got home from the hospital. I felt like I'd been hyped up on several pots of coffee and I'd explode if I didn't do something to burn off some of the energy. Great feeling, huh? These little chunks of titanium are amazing technology.

If there's nothing visible, you aren't bleeding ;o) If it were bleeding inside, you'd see it as bruising. Skin can feel weird as it heals!

I also got sick on the pain meds and on took Tylenol. After the first 5 or 6 days, I didn't even need that. An ice pack might help with the burning feeling, but it should go away soon. I don't remember it lasting more than a few days.

Energy

I was awake during the surgery and felt the surge of energy when the turned the pacer on. I had to resist jumping off the table and running around.

Where is yours located. I can't tell if you are male or female from your name. Women often have theirs implanted under a breast for cosmetic reasons, which disturbs a lot of sensitive tissue and takes longer to settle down. Just stop and think how long it takes a cut on a finger to quit hurting.

Being an old duffer mine is implanted directly under the skin below my left clavicle. I had very little pain from the git go, but there isn't much sensitive tissue there.

I understand the pain med problems. Most pain meds just make feel confused and I still hurt. Tylanol works well for me.

Finally, just think how you will feel when the pain settles down and you have all that energy.

My name is nancy, all female. lol

My pacer is almost on my right collarbone. Not sure ill ever be able to wear a bra again. And it will show with everything I wear I think. totally stupid placement. We had discussed that it would be close to my armpit but i guess he had problems with the leads and had to go farther to the left.
Ill try the ice thanks
