Defective battery leads!

Hi There,

My first Pacemaker implant was in 2003 and during interrogation; the doctors or the Tech would see some noise plotted for the upper chamber wire. In Feb of 2008, I started to feel palpitations and it sounded like (bum bum bum then Buuuuum). I told my Doctor the gave me beta blockers thinking I needed medicine to lower the pressure!!. I could not sleep at nights since the bang bangs would make me up at night.

In July08, the pacemaker report indicated “Replace pacer" and all the bang bangs went away. I asked the Technician and she told me that the only wire which was functioning was the lower chamber to preserve power until replacement.

In September 08, my PM was replaced and in the recovery room I felt the same bum bums had come back, I told the Doctor and he said he had only replace the PM and left the wires untouched.

I went for my first interrogation after the surgery and complained about the BUM bums since they had increased and did not let me to rest The Technician called the Doctor and eventually they changed the program and turned the upper chamber wire OFF.

Has any one experienced the same type of symptoms as mine? If so please let me know.

I think since day 1, the wire that was used on my upper chamber had been a defective one.

I’ll appreciate feedback.

Thanks,
Janet

Another incompetent doctor

This is just another case of an incompetent doctor throwing meds at a pacemaker problem. All it would have taken before giving beta blockers is to do a quick interogation of the pacer to find the problem.

Doctors are just operators

Doctors are operators. The Engineers design the devices and calculate intesive equations, however; doctors just read the data. I bet half of the data that is there they do no understand.

Doctors do not know about a simple electricity concept. Hence; in order to cover themselves, they just prescribe Medications. I have stopped the Coreg myself and my pacemaker is only working with one wire. God help me.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.
