SVT's

I received a pacemaker 8 months ago because I had both bradycardia & SVT. I have been doing ok for quite a while.
Yesterday as I was driving I started having something like a pinching sensation at my pacemaker site that caused a chill thru me, kind of like how you feel when you stick yourself with a needle in your finger. Today I have been having a heart rate of 130 and palpitations. I guess what I want to know is if I should call my doctor or just wait it out. I don't see him again until Febuary. I would appreciate any input as I really don't know that much about pacemakers
Thanks,
Jessame

Better safe then sorry! Call your doctor.

I put off what I thought was just a funny feeling and ended up totaling my vehicle due to a cardiac problem.

Absolutely, call your doctor or go to ER if you have to. I ignored signs (shortness of breath) for several weeks, never in million years did I think it was my heart. I will never ignore signs / symptoms / flags from my body. I haven't turned into a hyprochondriac but I won't make the same mistake twice, almost cost me my life. DON'T PUT IT OFF, CALL YOUR DOC AND HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. Could be as simple as having to adjust PM?? or ?? But if they don't know about it they can't fix it.
Good luck and let us know what happens

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.
