Please advise

Hi Everyone

Could someone tell me if it’s normal to get a small sharp pain at the site where the PM was placed? I have gotten it 5 or 6 times over the last hr. I don’t think I did anything to upset it? It’s not real painful, but I definitely feel it. Also it was a little sore when I woke up this morning, Iwas lying on the side where the PM is. I hope I didn’t do something in my sleep. I’m new to this (having a PM) so maybe I’m just paranoid. I don’t want to call my Dr for and drive him crazy for nothing unless I have to. So is this common while the site heals? It was just put in Monday.

I had my ICD implant in April. I get little sharp pains once in a while and was told its most likely nerve endings.Once in a while I get more like an ache and it feels like something is on a muscle. You have to remember this is a foreign object in your body. Try not to sleep on that side as it may cause it to move.
Brats right about taking your blood pressure. Take it on the right side and never hesitate to ask your docotr questions. There are no dumb questions,,its how you learn.

I did take my Bp just a couple of hrs ago, on the same side as my PM. I guess I better start taking my Bp on the other arm. I bet your right about this. I never would have thought taking my Bp would do that. Thanks Elisa, that was very helpful.
