small lump, info please

Hi all, a few days ago I went to get a checkup on the old PM. I’ve had it for almost one month now. When I got home from the Dr. I found a small lump that I hadn’t noticed before, otherwise I would have asked my Dr. when I was there. It’s just to the left of my breastbone, about 3 or 4 inches from the PM site. If I push on it is just a little sore. I don’t know why I would have this because it’s not where they cut me. If someone else has this or if someone can tell me what this is I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Ron

It could be a lead I guess. It's about 3/4" in dia and sticks out just a little.

Does it perhaps feel like it could be a lead? I found mine about a month ago,,,like you describe.

blood clot?

Could this possibly be a blood clot? A few years ago I have tested positive for a blood-clotting gene. I didn’t think of this until now. I was unable to take cumadin (not sure of the spelling) because I’m allergic to it.

It could also be the knotted end of sutures, if your surgeon used any. Sometimes it takes them a long time to dissolve.

I dont know about a blood clot,, If you are worried,,dont hesitate to call your EP,but,it kinda sounds like a lead loop since it is painful and the implant is new. I had one so bad that I had to have a revision. It started to protrude and my EP was afraid it would erode through the skin.

Hi all: I just got off the phone with the nurse practitioner and was told to keep an eye on it and if I started to run a fever or if it gets worst, I should call them. He said that they would see me right away in the office or meet me at Hartford Hospital.
