PROS/CONS

Hi, I had chronic afib which as you know causes the ventricles to beat irregularly. I suggest you ask your cardiologist about having a biventricular pacemaker and AV node ablation. It worked wonders for me and has done so for many members on this site. I personally cannot see any cons except that it will need changing every 6-8 years and that you will be pacemaker dependant and will have to have it checked every 6-12 months-a doddle. I put up with AF for 10 years and I worked out I needed a pacemaker and type required before the doctors did. This type of treatment does not cure the AF which I still have but it greatly improved my cardiac function. I can walk 20 miles if I want to-no problem. Before I could not tun over in bed. Cheers peter

Any more patients have a biventricular pacer in the club?
