pm zapping at the same time every day

Hi all,
My pm (medtronic sedr01) gives me three hard thumps at 3:14 am every day. Used to be 4:14 before daylight savings time. If I am awake i could almost set my watch to it. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Also sometimes when iI am crouched or leaning over doing something picking up a tool or tying my shoes I will get a couple of thumps and when I stand up sometimes I am quite dizzy have to hold on to something is this normal?

Brent

self check

Sounds like it's doing its self test at 3:14! They usually set it to happen while we sleep. Ask them if they can change it.

Not sure what the thumps leaning over could be, but if it makes you dizzy, ask them.

Call your ep, doctor, cardioligist whom ever put it in and ask them, dont worry about being a pain, I was, but its our health and they work for us. I will tell ya get you a note pad and write down any questions you have, problems, anything, because when you get in the doctors office if your like me and I really think most people are subconsiceally you forget things that you wanted to ask, and remember when you are 2 miles down the road going home. They can do adjustments. Like Tracey said they do a self test once a day and it is ussally in the morning hours, I was told they set them up that way so it does it while you are sleeping, if your hours are different you know up in early morning and sleep different time, ask if they can reset the self check time, not sure they can do that but Ill bet they can. Like I said make sure you tell your doc everything, its important.

Every 4 hours at about 13 after the hour I too get 2 bumps. The pacer is self checking and can be turned down so that it goes virtually unnoticed. If your pacer is going into a specific checking mode - as if using a magnet - you might feel dizzy or off a bit.
Best of luck
