Weight loss

Hi
I'm 89 years old and just got a pacemaker. I've weighed 151 lbs for the longest time, but since my implant i've lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks. I know that gaining is a sign of congestive heart failure (i'm on lasix) but is weight loss a sign that because of my pacemaker i'm losing water weight, a good thing, or is there trouble ahead. Don't worry, i've got an appt. with my cardio but couldn't wait for input, :-)
If I sound too hip for an 89 yr old it's because i've got help from my kids to post this :-)

How are you feeling? By any chance are you more active than before the pacer? This in itself can cause weight loss. Also, as you mentioned if the pacer is helping the CHF then you can expect to lose weight.

Hey, don't figure your too hip for a 89 yr old. I'm nearly 79 and a computer programmer. I expect to be going at it when I'm 90.
