Photo Gallery features

I would like to shed some light on the subject of the photo gallery.

I have read a few post recently indicating that the new members are perhaps displeased with being listed last in the page count.

Does anyone recall how the photo gallery came to be???? It was through a friendly open discussion that it came to be known that there just wasn't enough money to make it happen. So the "Old Members" got together and raised the funds so that the photo gallery could be designed. Many, many ICD/PM members donated their own money to make that happen!

So now you know how the photo gallery came to be... as I recall it anyway. Now...
I would like to see it improved too, but I also believe the pictures should stay in the order that they are listed now. Some of the members which are among the very first photos are very sick and I think it would be very disrespectful to change the order!

A search feature would be a nice addition, but that takes money. If someone would like to suggest that money be raised for this feature I am sure that Blake would be happy to listen. We did it before, so we know it can be done.

So if the newer members would like to suggest some improvements, please do so. Just communicate with Blake, raise the money and the designer might be able to help you out.

Just my thoughts...

Hello! How are you?

I have been reading with interest about the Photo Gallery being here becasuse of contributions by Pacemaker Club Members.

I would be more than happy to give a donation to keep this site up and running including the gallery. Without this site... well, I don't know what I would do, it is my little support group !!

Perhaps we should mention to Blake that we would like to donate something as way of a Valentines Day Present?!!

Can't believe people are moaning about which page they are on? Although I did mention some time back to Blake, that perhaps a search list for member's photos would be good and to page number the gallery.

I look forward to hearing other comments!

In the meanwhile take care and chat soon!

Love & Hugs, Loopy Lou xxxxxxxxxx

Hi all.
especially Pacergirl who expilained so well how the photo Album came about.
I has been running for about 18 months now year now.... on the whole except for a few bottlenecks it has worked well

IF I know Blake he has been noting all your feed back on line and by email and studying how to get it better.

Blake is a very busy man and runs this site for us more or less out his own pocket so to add or change something is not that easy. and costs money.Dont expect epic in response from Blake because he is a man of few words sums it all up in a sentence. My Message is ..Blake put a line on the right hand side .reading Photo "Album update /Donate button" and leave the rest the the members and as last time any extra we make goes to Hearbeat International. Blakes chosen charity......My very best to you all....

Thanks for the history pacergirl. I didn't even know Blake existed until this week. My comments were mostly just kidding around about being 18 or 19 clicks back. Hats off to Blake and the fine job he's doing. I don't want to add to his efforts. Sorry if anybody thought I was being critical. Now I may change my nick to SlumdogBill. :)
