generic toprol

did anyone get a letter in the mail from insurance co that the generic form of toprol has been recalled? the recalled name is
metoprolol succinate er manufactured by ETHEX corp, I looked at my script and find the manufacturer is not listed... how do we know what we're getting??? letter also says this will cause a shortage of the med for at least 6 months! they gave a website for more info on recall www.fda.gov

I too take metoprolol succinate er. I just looked at my med bottle. The mfg should be right under the name of the medication. It is in very small letters. My mfg is Par. I will look it up on the website you gave. I wonder if it is just from tht one mfg or are there others.Thanks for the heads up!.
