First I just wanna say that I really like everyone here at the PaceMaker Club. So please don't feel that I am casting aspersions when I tell you that I found another excellent online support group at Facebook:
"You're only cool... if you have a pacemaker!!"

Again, I'm NOT trying to woo anyone away from the Club, but just thought I'd share in case anyone was interested. A lot of us seem to have various questions that come up from time to time....and I'm thinking that having another place to look for some support/answers is always a good thing and not meant to take away from what we have here.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
