Scar tissue & Pain

Hey everyone!
Had my PM put in on 12/17/08 and all has been well. Just a quickie question though....

In the past 2 or 3 weeks I been getting sharp pains in the tissue around the device. Sometimes it almost feels like something is tearing. Someone told me that it's just because the scar tissue is forming and that these sudden sharp pains will subside. It can happen at any time (even just sitting here with my laptop), but I can be certain it will happen when I turn over in bed.
It also feels like the PM has come up so that the top edge is now slightly higher than my scar.

Any thoughts ?
Please & Thank you!

It's true that you can get pains as the tissue heals, and it can go on for months before it fades away completely. They aren't supposed to move because they are stitched into place, but occasionally it happens anyway. Or it could be just settling into place. It's probably just fine but I'd ask the surgeon to take a peek at it anyway.

A heating pad on low or ice may help with the pain.
