Sore from Bra Strap rubbing

Hello ladies,
I am 8 weeks post pacemaker. One of my problems is that the surgery scar and surrounding area is so sore to the touch. It looks fine, no infection but so sore. I wanted to pass on something that has helped me.
Cut a strip of soft polar fleece fabric and wrap it around your bra strap. It helps with rubbing and pads it a bit. I found that the wooly thing I bought for my car seat belt was to thick and actually hurt more as it pushed into the scar. This fleece lays flatter so I use it on the seat belt too. Just thought someone else might be having the same problem.

I also had a difficult time with my bra strap rubbing after I had my pacemaker implanted. I found the perfect Bra's at Lane Bryant called the Balconette Bra and The straps sit off to the side and don't even touch my scar. You can find them at lanebryant.com....

It is a good idea about the Lane Bryant bra,,,and the elastic strapless tops....I have thought about purchasing those PerfectStraps as seen on tv or just go braless....

thanks for the tip

Hi Britt,
Thanks for the tip about the bras from Lane Bryant, I will check them out for sure. If it was summer I would just buy those tops that have elastic at the top and go strapless!

I didn't know what to do - Thanks!

I really didn't know what to do for this. I've only had my pm about a week and my bra strap really rugs it. Thanks for all the good ideas!
