For Cabga Patch

Well I saw the heart doc, and there was a long talk, and one issue was EJ factor, I just read your post on that, all my test were done by ecoh gram, and not one has ever been the same, and each one done by different person, from a 30 after heart attack , to an alleged 45-50 a couple months ago, of course I questioned that finding and the doctor ordered another test, to be determined to be 25-30, this makes me wonder who figures these numbers and how can one persons test be 45-50 and another 25-30, strange.....The doc office visit answered a lot of questions, and now am to be reviewed every 6 months by heart doctor instead of yearly check ups, reason is my condition is deterating and he says would not make it off table for open heart, and he said he would hesitate to do any more caths as the arties are deterating and basicly said, were not writing you off but all we can do is try best with meds...I got a ICD doc appoitment now scheduled next month i reckon there will be setting changes. So being prepared by you and members of questions to ask brought me answers and feel better knowing the results and not have keep worrieing, know what to expect now, and thats a relief... Thanks and take care

Hi. Just a quick note...I had my ejection fraction tested last month, the test that was used on me is called a Heart Wall Motion Study Test. I'm in Canada so it could be called something else in other parts of the globe. Perhaps a Muga Scan?

Basically, I was injected with an isotope (some kind of tracer) and then I was Xrayed for about 30 minutes using some kind of special machine. It was so relaxing I had a nap. Anyways, this tracers shows the doctors just how well my left ventricle is pumping.

My EF is at 62%. I was also told that your EF can change from day to day.

Hope this helps a tiny bit.

what you say is so true. it is hard tho when someone is stubborn and doesn't want another opinion. i think after two angiograms and one bi-pass surgery he decided to eat whatever he pleases since he can't drink or smoke. i don't know what to do? suggestions anyone. he was told he can't have more surgery it won't help/ he has to rely on meds and diet. he does take his pills but doesn't use his nitro when he has chest pain. i am at wit's end. jessie

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
