Firefighter

My boyfriend is now 25 years and has had a defribillator/pacemaker since May of 2006. His doctors released him to work soon after his hospital leave. Well, 3 years later he wants to become a firefighter but his doctors are giving him a run around. His doctors believe that he could be a threat to someone if his device went off. It has been almost three years and we haven't had one problem with it yet. So, my question to you all is, is there anyone out there who is a firefighter and has a defribillator/pacemaker implanted. Thankyou very much for listening.

Sincerely,
Misti

He's not the first to run into this. If you click on the search button at the upper right side of the screen, this question has been asked before and you should get all sorts of results.

What happened?
