A true Off Topic Forum should not show up on the recent message forum. Amirite?

If it's showing newest messages, it doesn't matter what category it's in- if it's newest it shows up first. At least, that's the way any software I've worked with has been (and I do it for a living so I've lost track of the ones I've used). I've never seen one that excludes certain categories from new. Some software will let you make one category sticky and always show up first, but that's about as far as it can usually be customized without really digging into the programming.
Not a flaw ...

Like TraceyE says, the first page is designed to show the newest ten messages regardless of topic. It's possible to not display certain fourm topics on the home page. Someone awhile back suggested that jokes not appear on the home page. After some though, I decided not to filter messages becasue if we started where would we drawn the line?
I recommend those who do not want to read jokes or other topics just skip them.
Thanks for your idea.

And I'm ok with all that. Now how about changing the Gallery so new pics come up first. Not that important and probably more work than its worth, but ten years from now new peeps will have to click 200 times (I'm only 18 or 19 clicks, well within range of the average finger's clicking capacity). You did say jokes are ok right? :)
Gallery changes are coming

Bill,
We plan to make some improvements to the gallery in the near future.
Thanks,

I was just thinking of how it could "shield" grouchy types from having to laugh when they don't want to.
