Sad day today

My sister, age 65, passed away last night. She had a heart attack and stroke 5 years ago and although partially paralyzed, her mind was still very sharp and intact. She called me yesterday afternoon just to chat and we laughed about old times, etc. She said she felt fine and we parted with I love you's. I am so glad she called. Our family has a genetic link to metabolic syndrome. High blood pressure, high tryglycerides, diabetes, stroke and heart attacks. Most of my first degree relatives suffered premature deaths. I am currently the longest surviving member of my family. I have always been aware of the genetic thing, and actually spent my life trying to do all the right things. Diet, excercise, not smoking and treating my bllod pressure which was already trending high in my early 30's. So far, other than Brady, my cardiovascular system has been free of problems. My sister, like so many other family members developed many problems by middle age. Sometimes one cannot over come one's genes. She was a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother. RIP Patty.

My heart goes out to you today. I too am alone- no surviving family members(other than my kids and husband) It is indeed a lonely walk. It is so good you were able to talk for one last time.Prayers are going up for you.

I am sorry for your loss. No words can give comfort at times like this. It is great that the two of you talked just yesterday and it was a happy chat. It is a reminder to all of us to tell those around us we love them for we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Prayers for you and your family.

For your kind words.

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
