battery in safe mode

Once my Kappa 700 battery goes into safe mode... How long do I have before my battery goes dead?

If it's in safe mode, you need to make arrangements to get it changed now! You could have as much as 3 months, but it varies and you're only getting the bare minimum function out of it. If at all possible, it's best to get it changed before safe mode.

approx. 6 months

Hi! I had a Kappa 700 and just had it replaced on Monday. When you have about 6 months left on the battery, it will go into ERI (elective replacement indicator) mode. I don't know if you've ever had one changed, but you should be able to feel this (I sure did), because you will only be paced around 65 bpm. My surgery was scheduled less than 2 weeks after I switched to ERI. Once the battery is down to about 3 months, it goes into EOL (end of life) mode and you will only be paced around 40 bpm.

Hope this helps :)

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
