Having a couple of problems

Hi, I had my PM put in on Saturday and from Monday I was back doing my usual things (nothing too stressful, going to pubs with my friends and walking around town, mainly) but this evening I noticed that my heart beat is definitely not regular, even worse than it was before my PM. Also, during and just after the procedure, my diaphragm was having weird spasms, but the technician managed to fix it. But while I was watching TV this evening they started up again, and it's getting really annoying now! I also feel a little dizzy and short of breath, even though I'm just lying on my bed now. Am I just being a hypochondriac, or should I get checked out?
Thanks in advance,
Emma xxx

Get it checked out...

Having learned from experience, if it doesn't feel right, you should get it checked out asap! It could be nothing, but better safe than sorry!

Call your doctor or head to the er and let us know how you're doing!

Yes get it checked. What type of pacemaker do you have? Your pacemaker may be pacing other muscles other than your heart muscles giving you spasms as you call it. Pacemaker adjustments can reduce or eliminate this. This annoying effect usually fades with time as it did in my case. I live in the UK as you do and it can sometimes be difficult to get all the treatment you need. You need to fight your own corner. Cheers Peter
