My father doesn't have a land line and recently received a pacemaker. Is there any way to use his cell phone to monitor and download info to dr.?

As far as I know, nothing but an analogue land line will work for teletraces. We just got a new one and nowadays, it's like trying to find a needle in the haystack!! Everyone else has got digital cordless and cell phones... Every time someone comes over to the house who doesn't know about my PM is always shocked about it... "Wow!" they say, "you still have those old phones?" :)

Thanks for the help! I guess he will have to get a landline. :-(

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.

I had the same problem I have 3 cell phones and no land lines.. If you have internet, T Mobile you can get a land line thru a router for $9.99 a month.
I had to go to the neighbors house for a few months...
