Thank You....

I wanted to thank you all so much for your responses! Tracey I didn't realize that when my EP said I was using my PM 15% of the time, that he meant daily.
I thought it was since the last time I saw him which meant I wasn't using it much at all.
NOpe, no desk jobs at work, I have been asking all year. They were hoping with a new budget they could create a position, But with the economy there is more chance of lay offs than that:(
Thanks so much for he info on Disability Cabg Patc...

Thanks Ya'll

Thank you SO much for your support in response to my most recent post. I honestly don't know what I'd do without this place. Life is hard- filled with difficult decisions, and I sure as heck don't know anyone else I could talk to about all of this stuff. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Thanks again,
Angelie

Exercise + 100% paced ???

Ya'll,
Pardon me, and have mercy, for I don't mean to always repeatedly whine about the same thing.
It seems that I always ask the same questions, but I looked through my recent posts and couldn't find anything. I have memory lapses, plus I talk to myself a lot so it's hard for me to track if I really posted a question, or if I was just day dreaming.
what can I say?....
A good friend of mine has caused me to think seriously about my options, and it's causing me to reevaluate...

Recovering

So I am in bed recovering. The procedure took longer than expected. 4.5 hours. It was very painful. They couldn't reattach the wire and had trouble extracting and replacing it. After the surgery I asked the doc how long I would have to be off work and he said a few days but just let then know. Last time I was off 2 weeks following and still felt rushed then. I really don't want to pull another lead and deal with this again, but I do want to go back as soon as I SAFELY can. What do you all recomm...

Thanks For Your Help

I just wanted to thank all those who took the time to read and respond to my Panic Attack story. It means a lot to me to know that there are people out there that are going through the same things I am, and that I am able to talk to them now. My mom has been trying to get me to look at a support website ever since my surgery, but I never did. Boy am I glad that I finally did!
Thanks again to everyone!

Photo Gallery features

I would like to shed some light on the subject of the photo gallery.

I have read a few post recently indicating that the new members are perhaps displeased with being listed last in the page count.

Does anyone recall how the photo gallery came to be???? It was through a friendly open discussion that it came to be known that there just wasn't enough money to make it happen. So the "Old Members" got together and raised the funds so that the photo gallery could be designed....

Facebook

First I just wanna say that I really like everyone here at the PaceMaker Club. So please don't feel that I am casting aspersions when I tell you that I found another excellent online support group at Facebook:
"You're only cool... if you have a pacemaker!!"

Again, I'm NOT trying to woo anyone away from the Club, but just thought I'd share in case anyone was interested. A lot of us seem to have various questions that come up from time to time....and I'm thinking that having anoth...

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
