Thanks for chat. Whenever it gets to the end of the page my computer freezes up and I get locked out of chat I didn't want you to think I had just logged out on you. Perhaps admin can fix it sometime or tell us what is wrong as a lot of us have trouble being "chucked out of chat" Take care it was nice to talk to someone new. We all need each other for support worldwide. It is so great to have this site it is such a comfort to us all. Sincere wishes Billie

Future

Wonder if any folks have been able to get rid of pacemakers by alternate means (other than death, lol) such as naturalistic methods?
Of course could see that if so, they might not still be using this club (lol).

What an informative website. Found it a couple of weeks ago and see lots of support!

I had my pacemaker for Bradycardia. I had it since April of 2005. I pace in the upper chamber 30% of the time. I had one lead fall within the first week, but they changed the end of it to make it stick or grab better.

Also see that others here had a sore or burning scar, I did too, but it got better with time. I also went through a little depression with this new hunk of metal in me....

Newly Wired

I had my pacemaker implanted 6 weeks ago. What a help this website is to me. I thought I was alone with some of my feelings.
I am still getting used to the new device. I feel like my heart is racing sometimes, since I wasn't used to this fast a heartbeat. I am also having problems with low blood pressure, but I think that is the medication. I am not suppose to have another check until June. I was hoping to feel more get up and go by now. My incision has healed good and it isn't bot...

Getting on top of it all

Hi Pals

It has been really sad not to get away to see Kay etc. But I always believe things happen for a reason. We had visitors from London overnight. Friends of my sister. Talk about a burst of energy. The place positively shone. I was exhausted when folks had departed. Our great news is that we have been asked to look after a winery near Kay for between 2 to 5 months. It also means Brian will be able to visit his specialist in Melbourne. One thing about being so busy: it s...

skipped beats

its been 0ne week since my PM was placed and i'm experiencing skipped beats, i'll have a run of about 30 beats then a run of about 3 or 4 of beats/skipped beats(b,s,b,s,b,s) before PM i was experiencing a missed beat every 4th beat and once too often sustained VT. I had an ablation to correct VT and ended up with 3rd degree heart block. So was wondering will this go away as the heart heals or should i be concerned? I'm also on atenolol and verapamil (pre and post PM)

We are blessed!

I am always inspired by the postings people write that reflect how they have come to terms with their pacemakers, and have made a sort of peace with them! Cathryn's post about realizing she didn't think about her pacemaker for an entire day, seemed to have struck a cord in many of us! While many of us do have trouble with different issues, and I have had my share, we do realize that they save our lives, probably without us knowing it. I became a grandmother for the first time last week, and as I...
