Last night as I was singing with the Women's choir I experienced the shortness of breath and also both my hands tingling again as I did last week. Here is a past post I submitted, I am hoping others can comment on it. Thank you

Why would I feel this tingling numbness in my hands? And can it be caused due to the faulty lead wire of the pacemaker?

Pain When Breathing

I have chronic atrial fibrillation and bradycardia due to taking sotalol. lightheaded

Hi all

I had a complete AV Node ablation done a week ago and am now pacing at 100%
I keep feeling lightheaded and a bit dizzy at times as well as short of breath on exertion. Could anyone tell me if this is normal at the beginning, i was used to a heart rate above 110bbp now it is set to 70 with rate response turned on?

Bad day!

Hi all,
yesterday I had a bad day and maybe you can help me figure out what could have triggered it. For a couple of days before I had been feeling under the weather. I got a new PM 2210 dual St Jude PM on Oct 7, 2010. I just turned 50, female, so I know I am young for a PM. I am active, have a 13 yr old daughter, single mom. It's been a month since I got my pacemaker. I have had some concerns lately that I might have pulled a lead wire loose. Is this possible? Bleeding from Incision Site:Almost 1 month

I had a pacemaker implanted on Sept. 29, 2010. During surgery, everything was fine. On October 21st, I went for my pacemaker check. The pacemaker was doing great, however, I noticed that morning on the 21st that there was slight bleeding near the steri strips. worried and nervous

1 lead vs. 2 lead PM

I've written before and got some helpful comments. Maybe I will receive more regarding my present condition.
3 yrs. ago I got a PM w/1 lead wire . For the last year or so
I have been short of breath and unable to walk more than a block or 2. After many tests my cardiologist said a 2 lead PM
would probably solve my problem.
I am 77 years old. Is Smitty still around to give any advice?

has anyone had a hematoma drained

Hi, Im'm back again. the drainage that really relieved the pressure this hematoma was putting on my incision has closed so there is now no natural drainage for this huge painful lump on my chest. Stabbing pains?

I think I've seen this posted before, but I couldn't find it to reference. It's been 5 months since I got my PM. It was very sore initially and was told it is normal and it would improve after time. Just ruined more clothes

Hi Thanks for the help with sleeping on my belly eventually. Has anyone else had problems with their site opening and draining? I had tremendous bruises from failed implant, the implant actual site is healing well but the huge bruise from the failed attempt has opened and because it is old blood draining not fresh red blood everything I leak on is getting stained. Pacemaker shifted

Hi everyone!
I had my 3rd pacemaker and a new ventricular lead implanted on 10/01/10. At first I was so happy to have my whole heart pacing again, it didn't matter that my arm hurt so much. (I'm 100% paced. My ventricular lead had gone bad in 2008 and once the pacer battery got low and it shifted to single lead mode, I wasn't getting regular pacing, felt very weak and light headed.) Bi Ventricular ICD trouble

I needed mitral valve replacement in Dec 09 and was told by UCSF cardiovascular surgeon "Not to jump the gun" on the mitral valve replacement and it was suggested that I first try a Bi Ventricular ICD which i later discovered he was co inventor of! staph infection

i am new to the group by just a few minutes. i had my dual chamber pacemaker installed on aug. 30th. of this year. i took 4 weeks off work as my job requires lifting. the week i returned to work, now it seems i have contracted a staph infection at my pacemaker site and my dr. wants to remove it and put it on the other side. has anyone else had a similar experience?
