pectoral muscle twitching

I Had a St Jude dual chamber pm implanted sub pectorally in November of 2009.

Recently I have experienced frequent and rythmic pectoral muscle twitching and I noticibly feel the PM go off with pretty good force. It does not hurt. Should I be concerned or is this common?

Tingling, Pain & Burning

Tingling, Pain & Burning

I have had a pacemaker since 1977, I received my last pacemaker July 2006 and sometime after that I get the above feeling whenever I am near electronic devices. My iPhone and my laptop are the worst.

I have done every test under the sun with no avail, but there two thing.

1) I have elevated lead levels in my body which can act as a ground for the current coming from my pacemaker.
2) I have a Medtronic Adata pacemaker on the Medtroni...

Anyone have this problem???

Hi, I havent been on here in a few months as i have been studying very hard, but I just had to come back to ask all people with pacemakers something!

Ok, so I had my pacemaker implanted on 17th February 2009, so over a year ago. It is my first pacemaker and i was 14, nearly 15 at the time. Over a year on, I am now 16 and something is still bothering me!
I have two scars. One that is 1.5cm beneath my collar bone, and one that is about 4cm directly on my left armpit (axilla).

CT Pulminary Angiogram

Hi! I had posted last week regarding chest pains. We'll I'm back in the hospital (pray you never have to be admitted on a Friday!) and in a holding pattern till Monday for a cath. I was looking at my records from last weeks stay and notes from my CT Pulminart Angiogram stated: Significant stenosis of the left subclavian vein present. I have a dual lead pacemaker. Does anyone know if this is normal due to the leads? I have not seen my Cardio since I read the results to ask. Happy Fathers D...

Just checking...

Hi All:
My mom just had a dual chamber pacer inserted on Monday (5 days ago) and this morning had a weird hiccup-y feeling through her right back and entire chest cavity. No pain or shortness of breath..just 'weird'. It affected her speech - made her stutter on the words a bit. Does this ssound familiar to anyone? Thanks.

Regarding my earlier purple arm post

After talking to my primary physician, he told me it was normal to have a swollen purple arm. I sat on it for 2 days and decided that it wasn't normal, went to urgent care. Had a d-dimer blood test which was elevated which indicates a probable clot. So then had to drive 45 minutes to a hospital that was able to perform the needed ultrasound. That came back positive, so now I'm having blood thinner injections in my belly every 12 hours, and a koumadin (sp?) tablet once per day. I'm less than...

I am 51 yrs old and 12 days post pm implant for 2nd degree heart block following syncope for the last 6 months. I had sustained a ?rotator cuff injury on the left shoulder on a blackout and was called to surgery just as physio was going to work on my injury. My consultant thought as I had some mobility probs with this side he would implant on that side. Post implantation I had a bleed which needed pressure bandages applied leaving me bruised from neck to stomach and elbow. This has really faded...

Arm movement

I had my first surgery and implant of my Medtronic pm in Jan. of this year. When I went in in May for my check up with the machine and instruction about doing it on the phone they found something wrong and said the pm was working too hard and then they referred me to the Cardio and he said I had pulled a ventricular lead away from its original placement. I asked the tech what I would feel like after they put it back in place and she said I'd feel the same as now. She said the main thing was that...

can anyone help.

I had my pacemaker put in when i was 14. I am now nearly 20 and it lies very close to the surface of my skin, you can see the outline of it. The site is very tender and sore. I have been to my gp and because i have at least 3 years left in the battery the just put me on painkillers. The problem is i dont want to be on painkillers long term for something fixable. My question is do you think they will replace/ reposition it early for me?

Gut Feeling

Went to get staples out today and I was shocked when all my questions and concerns were dismissed so quickly I was very disappointed. I have the hiccups once or twice a day for two weeks, severe heartburn at night and dizzy spells with any increase in activity. Besides that my incision site is soft and is almost like you can see a wire misplaced... I have a gut feeling something is wrong and yet the pacemaker nurse blew me off to come back in six weeks . should I be worried or just wait it out...

Just wondering if any one has ever been in a casino and felt weird? Maybe it felt like little shocks but even get those at home sometimes, too.
My incision at two months after surgery is still very tender as well as below the incision and on the side of my arm pit and in the front of my breast below the incision. My arm is sore too . When I say anything to the nurse, she said some people take 6 months to heal. Wish I knew if I was one that would take that long. I would appreciate any...
